I have found these super cute videos on Pumpkin Carving tips and techniques.
Find out how to scoop the pulp in the quickest time, how to best preserve your pumpkin, and if power-tools are right for you! Tom is from Extremepumpkins.com, and I highly recommend you check out many of his pumpkins on his page! I love the guy’s dorky comments – I think they make the video.
The best tips I saw included using power tools for it to go quicker, dry erase markers come off easier, quickest way to scoop the goop (ice cream scooper!), making a notch for the lid, and how best to preserve the pumpkin! Those tips sure will come in handy next week as I get ready to carve with my kids. They won’t be using the power tools, but I know they’ll love using the dry erase markers.
To see all of the videos, click on “related” on the top of the first video that comes up (pause it). These seem to come in at a random order, but the preferred order (the order that’s best to watch these videos):
- How to Carve a Jack-o-lantern
- Cutting & gutting the pumpkin
- Drawing and cutting the Jack-o-lantern Face
- Adding Finishing Jack-o-lantern touches
- and finally (not related but cool) is the Duct Tape Pumpkins.
Enjoy and if you carve any pumpkins this year, leave us a comment. I’ll share my carving later too.
