in Kid Stuff

OK, remember how I told you that I was pricing for the consignment sale?

My favorite Consignment sale finds from last night

Well, boom – I not only put my stuff in a local one, but I also shopped there at my friend’s sale last night!

Laura from The Kidz Klozet rocks and has been working some long hours to get the sale going. Today is the actual first day to the public (consignors sale was last night). There is a lot of stuff left to check out, I had a 2 hour time limit from the time I left the house until the time I needed to be home, so I didn’t even venture into the other rooms of the sale – I was strictly after clothes. They had baby gates, nursery decor, books, electronics, educational toys, ride-on toys, seriously they had a ton. You can look at the photos they took from the sale here.

In my two hour time limit I was able to get a few great finds – my son is going to be so excited when he gets to wear this Mario shirt to school. It’s Mario growing from the first game into the current version of Mario. I think anyone who had an old school Nintendo will like it. I had one and he’s played on one before. I got this shirt for $2.

Cheech got some “candy pants” as she calls them (for $1) – Halloween pants. She is picky as can be, so without her with me I didn’t buy her much. Darn 6 year old girls. I could hear her voice in my head, “Oh I will not wear that!” So much attitude in such a young kid. She will be pleased with her clothes, I was sure it had sparkles so she’ll be happy (pumpkin shirt was $3 for one and $2 for the other).

I bought them both a shirt from their local elementary school. They sell spirit wear for $20 at school, I found two there for $3 each. *I do support the school, please don’t think I’m the worst. I have bought spirit wear, their coupon books, the coupon smart card, and concessions at events – not to mention taking stuff up there for the teachers. Just know that I do those things and if I can find a deal while helping out, I’m all over it!

Last but not least I got some books. My boy is a reader and loves chapter books now, so I got him three that I think he’ll enjoy. He loves Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and I saw a making of the movie book that I know he’s gotten from the library before, but at $2 I thought, that’s like 90% off.

Be sure to check out http://consignmentmommies.com/ to find sales in your area! The next one I’m excited about is Sugar Babies in Smyrna, TN. I have consigned with them before and shopped them for many years!
