Congrats to Team USA and especially to Gabby Douglas!

USA! USA! I am so happy that Team USA won gold! Go Team USA!!

Also congrats to Gabby Douglas on winning the women’s all-around! I know after the whole media’s handling of Jordyn Wieber I was a little turned off watching the Olympics, but I couldn’t stay away from the gymnastics! I love watching it, I can’t help it. I get all national pride happy cry when I hear the National Anthem playing with any USA athlete at the top of the podium.

During the men’s team finals I was all biting my nails waiting to see the final decision of the judges on the challenge. I also was shocked to see that you have to pay the judges to challenge them, seems a little bribey to me.  I have heard it’s the rules and they got their money back, but it was strange to me to see that going down.

I have had a lot of late nights catching up with my DVR this week, but I have enjoyed every minute of it! I especially loved it last night as I watched Gabby win the Gold and then give credit to God. I saw a photo on facebook that I wanted to share. I hope it’s allowed, no copyright violations intended…I put the site where I got it from underneath it.

Have you had Gabby’s floor music in your head? It’s called “Memories (F**k Me I’m Famous Remix)” by David Guetta featuring KiD CuDi/ “We No Speak Americano” by Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP. Yeah I googled it.

I know Phelps is killing it in the swimming pools and USA is doing wonderful. I can’t believe I watched a 4 hour bike ride on TV (well, again thank heavens for DVR, I watched maybe 30 minutes of a 4 hour bike ride). My favorite part is the gymnastics, but I can’t wait to show my son the track and field. He’s 8 and wants to start running soon. I know he’ll just love it and probably envision himself there in 10 years, I always did. I love the hope and dreams of it all!! Go Team!
