I haven’t tried this yet, but wanted to share.
I saw this over at commonsensewithmoney.com and wanted to pass it along.
This week Walgreens has Chapstick on sale for 99 cents.
Well, the monthly coupon book you pick up at the front has a coupon for $1 off Chapstick in it. The picture shows another type of chapstick but it supposedly works here just fine.
This is confirmed as working on Chapstick Vanilla, regular, mint, apple, and cherry.

This week around page 9 of your Walgreens ad you’ll see this coupon for Valentine Candy. It’s a store coupon, so it can only be used at Walgreens (unless someone else nearby takes them as a competitor – nobody around here does that I know of). This will make these candy packets $.39 (as it says) and it says limit 6.
That’s all well and good but it gets better. There’s a coupon for $1/2 now for these – and it says “Save $1.50 off any 2 Mars Seasonal Items.” It doesn’t say a size or anything so these should work just fine. Some Walgreens will allow overages, but if you haven’t done it before you can either a) try to see if they’ll pay you for taking 2 packs or b) get 4 for really cheap!
Here’s how: Run on over to print this coupon to save $1 on 2 Mars Candies. Note it does say something about Walmart on it, but you can use it anywhere, it’s not a store coupon it’s a manufacturer’s one…this will work at Walgreens just fine.
Here’s a few scenarios:
Buy 2: .39 x 2 = .78 , .78 – 1.50 = -.72 (the store owes you 72 cents)
Buy 3: .39 x 3 = 1.17, 1.17 – 1.50 = -.33 (the store owes you 33 cents)
Buy 4: .39 x 4 = 1.56, 1.56 – 1.50 = .06 (you pay $.06)
So if you’re going to be buying more stuff at Walgreens then do the 2 if you want. I can “use” an overage but can’t get it back in cash. So if you buy 2 and maybe something else worth more than .72 it would work. To be sure it works and may everyone happy buy 4 and spend .06 (and tax in TN).
Best part, go print that coupon again and do it again. You can print 2 coupons at coupons.com for each item. I use zip code 90210 and click “foods” and it was on page #3 for me.

I know when you input zip code 90210 and click “personal care” it brings these coupons up:
$1 off two On any TWO Total Defense™ 5 Anti-Perspirant, Deodorant, Body Wash OR Bar - if you use this it’s a good coupon to print. Many CVS stores have these on clearance right now. Starting 2/19 they will be buy 1, get 1 free at Walgreens. Either way, good deal on this deodorant brand.
They have also $1 off 2 Mitchum deodorant. Though it says Walmart on the area down there, if it’s a manufacturer’s coupon it will work at any store that takes coupons. In case you never knew that little nugget of info. If it’s a Walmart coupon, then it’d be locked to the store, but manufacturer’s – they’re good to go!
When you click on “Toys and Games” you can see:
$8 off Baby Alive. Now these have been reported on clearance at some Walmart and Target stores. Print this and carry it with you when you’re out shopping and you may make off with a $1 – $2 baby doll.
$8 off the Rock and Roll Elmo. Same as above, many rumors about clearance deals – print this and keep an eye out while you’re out!
They have $1 off Pretzel M&Ms, food coupons, and much more. Just a reminder to print now while they’re out there. They hit print limits and go away. Get quick and easy access to dozens of name brand coupons at Coupons.com!
Today and tomorrow you can print this coupon and save $5 off $5 at Michaels Craft Stores.
Don’t let them tell you that you can’t, heck over at Michaels facebook page they’re talking about it. It’s legit, but only for 2 days.
It says limit 1 per person, but last time I checked my kids were people…so score! Just in time for birthday stuff — wonder what goodie bag stuff they have???
I am going to see if I need any cake decorating bags or meringue powder as this is a pretty nice coupon and I don’t live too far from one. I think it’s totally worth a trip. I read about making your own candles the other day from old candles – I’m thinking about buying some wicks too! So many ideas – but it says 1 per person per day.

So, if your kids have to do valentines for school (or you want some candy) this is a pretty nice buy. Right now Target has the valentines wonka candy packs on sale 2 for $6, so that’s $3 for a 24 pack of valentines with candy. Not bad. Get ready for it to get better.
