in American Girl, Kid Stuff

My child has lost it, she really believes that I can’t tell the difference between her and her doll!

Chee and Minnie

Chee just loves her American Girl Doll. She got it for her birthday this year (when she turned 6) and she named it “Minnie” or rather Mini as in Mini-Me. She’s finally calling her just Minnie now, lol.

She just loves to match her doll. She mostly has pajamas these days, but she giggles and asks me to guess which one is the real kid and which is the doll. I totally guess the wrong one half the time and she loves it! The other night she put Minnie in her bed and she hid behind the curtains in her room. I would hear a little giggle then she’d stop and wait. I hugged the doll and said, “Goodnight Chee!” to the doll and then she burst through the curtains and was all, “I tricked you, that’s Minnie! I’m right here!!” I really love playing her tricking game with her.

Matching doll clothes

She has always liked matching her dolls. Well, when she was younger she liked her stuffed animals much better than her baby dolls. Here she is “Matching baby Kae” as she used to say around age 3. She would ask to wear her baby Kae dress. This was before she liked dolls, she went through a stuffed animal phase up until about middle of age 5. The exception was her tiny cabbage patch dolls, which she would carry 3 at a time.

If you haven’t gotten your little girl matching doll clothes – you should look into it. I know all kids are different, but my  little girl eats it up!

Does your little girl like to match her doll? I always watch for the Dollie and Me to show up at Totsy
